Help! Problems with new computer.

Have you checked in the bios to see if the drive is recognised there?, check sata cables?

In BIOS it says no device recognised. By checking the SATA cables, what is it I should do exactly?

When you turn the PC on can you hear the hard drive spin up? and check the sata cables i think they mean make sure they are connected to the drive and the motherboard and make sure the power is too from the PSU. Try unpluggin them and plugging them back in.

A-ha! It seems the cable 'connected' from the HD to the motherboard was loose. It's now being recognised. Hurrah!
