I just purchased a used cyber power water cooling kit and I tested it externally but once I plugged the pumps molex connector into the power supply, it didn't make any noise and it wasn't pushing any of the water. The pump is a dual bay reservoir combo. What's wrong with my pump?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Did you test the pump with water in the reservoir?

Check to see if you are getting 12V at the molex connector.

I made sure the pc was turned on and the molex was definitely giving power as I connected a fan to it to make sure. I filled about 80% of the reservoir when I tested it and still nothing happened.

Hi, you need one of these PSU Bridging Connector (24 Pin) for the PSU TO WORK WITH OUT BEING CONNECTED TO THE MOBO.

The 24 pin header was connected to the motherboard when I was testing it.

Should I try using a paper clip to bridge the green and black wire on the the 24 pin motherboard connector when I'm testing the pump?

Yes you can do that, but if your going to venture into water cooling. Using a
PSU Bridging Connector is a far better + safer option.

I'v used both.

Not if you are already getting the 12V. Although I find it hard to believe you are getting 12V even with the computer off.

I just tested the pump while the 24 pin motherboard connector is bridged and still no luck, it's as if the pump is not receiving any power when connected.
