[HELP REQUIRED] Computer Restarting

Try to run Unigine Valley or Heaven for 30 mins in a window checking your CPU/GPU temps and clocks. Make sure nothing is jumping around clocks wise.

did you do this? does sound like its hapening only when the gpu is in proper use. the benchmarks you are using are not gpu benchmarks they are cpu ones.

Played a game of Overwatch, minimized the game, browsed facebook for a min, computer restarted. I've been on the computer ALL day not playing games, and it hadn't restarted. This is really annoying me!

I do not use Win 10,but have you checked for a setting that shuts your HDD down after a certain time.?
It should be somewhere in the Power Saving section of the OS.
Not sure it that would cause a restart though.
There is one other thing that comes to mind though, if you can play games without problems, they usually use a higher Graphics card frequency than when you just use windows normally like online.
You might have a Graphics card driver problem as windows 10 "updates" them without warning that is why I still use Win7 Pro.

How much room do you have free on your 60G OS drive? Could this be Pagefile getting too large while gaming? Although it should give you a warning before hand.

Is your pagefile set to system manged and not auto?

I've changed the shutdown Setting off. My graphics drivers did crash yesterday, but i'm sure if there's a problem with the GPU there will be a bluescreen. I'm thinking of reinstalling windows 8.1 to see if i still get these problems

I set it to custom i think. But i have over 20gig left on my SSD, I'm going to re-install 8.1 to see if the problems still occur

I reinstalled 8.1, i was able to play Overwatch all night with no problems. I tried to play Hand of Fate, but kept experiencing freezing. So i rolled back my drivers. I started to encounter the same restarting issue again. So I reinstalled windows 10, and used the same drivers as i did on windows 8.1 which worked. Still experiencing restarting. Could this be a driver issue? Or could my GPU be dying?

Butonz is tech support and an Alfa enthusiast - he knows a thing or two about broken down things!

You could try a new PSU or a known working spare - it is a sign of maturity, stamps in your wallet, using a diary and having a known working PSU in your box of tricks.

I would try a PSU.

Thanks guys, i guess i'll be trying a new PSU. Gives me an excuse to go Modular too lol. I'll try it out and let you all know if it solves my problem :)

Here's an image of my voltages

If you re-install 8.1 and the problem goes away , then it would mean that the graphics drivers are causing problems in Win 10.?
When you go back to 8.1 try using the drivers that worked for that OS , you can update them later as 8.1 does not do it for you if you request it not to.
Win 10 is ok imo , but does not give the user enough options to control their own system , but that`s just my thoughts.

Note: Sorry guys I did not notice the other posts before writing the above.

I'm back to 8.1 and i'm still having the issues. I can't get past 3Dmark stresstest without my computer restarting

I noticed in your voltage pic that your VCORE [CPU main voltage] is really low.
But that depends on the CPU you are using.?
The RAM voltage looks ok but the low VCORE setting in the BIOS might be bottlenecking with the higher RAM volts.

If you enter the BIOS screen make sure you know which settings to change as the BIOS controls the whole computer.
The reason I stated the above is because if you have not used the BIOS before then leave it alone.

But if you have a PSU problem then it might be a good idea to try a new PSU first.?

BTW what 3Dmark test are you using ,? , some of the stress tests based on 3DMark are written for extremely high end systems.
