Help resolving BSOD...

The CPU Vtt change didn't seem to help.

Windows bugged on me (explorer.exe - server execution failed) after I ran Memtest, so I've had to re-install again.

System has passed Prime95 torture test and Memtest, so I think the problem is the board.

Following some common fixes, I've changed the PEG from Auto to GEN1 and disabled the C3/C6 State which I believe is quite likely the real culprit.

So far, so good. I'll report if I have another BSOD.

other suggestions , again from personal experience, try setting the cpu ratio yourself and disabling intel turbo boost technology,also try using a fixed voltage for a while,say 1.2v for 4/4.2ghz

I have the same CPU and board and have random blue screens too. I done the settings wazza told me to the RAM but it's still happening, yesterday it happened whilst streaming a film to my tv using ps3 media server. I read the thread above and I think my error is 0x3B so might increase the vcore on my overclock although it was stable for 13hours when I overclocked back in February.

Sorry to double post but you can set the VTT or anything else by using the "+" or "-" keys sometimes easier than writing it in

Still BSODing!

I've tried disabling the other board features but this doesn't seem to have helped.

Starting to drive me up the wall now.

To repeat: It's only doing it when the PC is idle or not being taxed. It's never BSODed during gameplay, etc. Always if I pop away for 10 minutes or am casually browsing online.

try with performance enhance set to standard,and try one level higher llc

Tried with Performance Enhance set to Turbo. Just had another BSOD.

Are you seeing the bsod code? Try and catch what it is

124 or 101 error or another code

Through WhoCrashed or Win7 report?

I don't know if it's related but my SSD had an instance of corrupt files earlier, scandsk auto-ran after rebooting.

No,when pc bsods it will show some text on the blue screen,a line of 0's followed by 124 or 101 and various other numbers/letters

Running latest motherboard BIOS and firmware for ssd?

Can't do firmware for SSD until my HDD turns up as it'll cause a format. The board is stock firmware too.

I would update the boards first,then use some cloning software to clone your ssd to your new hdd,and boot from the hdd,then you'll know if its the ssd that's at fault

you'd be best getting whocrashed and finding the codes through that it will tell you the codes and possible causes for all your bsods

I'm happy to just whack what I need on USB and format/update when the new HDD arrives.

ok ive read back through this thread,its only doing it at idle and light loading? id set cpu voltage to normal and try medium loadline calibration and set dvid to +0.010v,then see if it still does it
