HELP! - Ryzen 5800x/Windows 11 very high idle/browsing temps.. 70c!?

Possibly hmm, all 6 fans in my case are Corsair QL 120mm fans, including the 2 fans on the radiator, would that make much difference?

Maybe just do a clean install of window 11

those seem to be very high temps. mine peak around 79c ish sometime through the night while its doing video encoding. its a 5600x but power limit is raised to 95w. idle is usually 33c ish. using a freezer 34 co.

You can't really compare the 5600x to the 5800x. All of the 5800x cores are on a single CCX making the heat very localised and more difficult to cool.

No, I didn't say that. The 5800x has more cores and more power than the 5600x on it's single CCX. It's just more difficult to cool so not really a good comparison IMO. That's all.

Having said that, I agree with you that the temps mentioned are too high. Lots of factors can contribute to that though, especially the case, airflow and environment.

Whats your ppt power pull when stressing with prime? At 115w pull i was hitting 88c in prime with the 5600x. Freezer 34 co. Single ccx.
95w is good compromise for me
