So my Mrs bought this, not sure what it's called so I will call it a meat smasher!
In my opinion it does nothing a wooden spoon can't do so it belongs in the same cupboard as the George Foreman grill, a useless kitchen relic you might say!

Mrs disagrees of course and uses to smash mince meat etc.

So.... Useless trash or handy kitchen tool?

Reminds me of a mini torpedo

What is "smashing mince"? Just breaking it up? I break mince up with my hands. But I don't have long nails.

I'd say the value of this item hinges on whether the Mrs does her traditional womanly duties of cooking for the family. If she does then I'd let it slide. Tell her she wins the argument if she makes you a nice spag bol.

If she's a bit useless, then absolutely roast her on the internet and tell her to stop wasting money on kitchen junk she doesn't even use.

Ha-ha, she made a Spag Bol this morning so tea sorted, shall I end it here?

Cross section is better but ehhhhhhhh, it's mince, it's gonna break up just by prodding it a bit.

Niche tools are ok if they're game changing for what they do.

Used to have one of those back in the '70s. You put a cap on the end and throw it in the air. :D
