Yes I’d like to keep the components as long as possible so I’ll go for the 3700x. I mainly play games like Diablo or strategy games like Starcraft along with single player games like red dead redemption 2 etc.
I’m trying to play borderlands 3 but it’s so laggy I can’t bare playing it. Which I know is down ri my pc spec.
Would you mind being specific on the monitor screen ?
The pc is to be as future proof as possible so I can download new releases without the worry of lag issues, or at least the ability to play them on a good high setting.
Thankyou for all your help and input
Get a 3600xt
Then in the future get a 4600x.
A 3700 makes zero sense for gaming. Both financially and power wise.
Address my earlier statements before making these claims.
Why a 3600XT over a 3600 when there's a £70 difference?
You're being silly again Sonny.
Also would you advise that I upgrade the ram to 32gig 3000mhz instead of the 16Gig 3200mhz?
Also the b550 motherboard is only available for pre order ? Is there another I should go for rather than wait ? Thanks again
Is there any way I can just click the list and send it straight to my cart ?

...Sonny proves once again why nobody should listen to him.
The X570 Elite is a fantastic board as stated by @Sparx -- in your case I would take his suggestion and go for the B550 Elite instead.
Just make sure the case you get is applicable to the form factor of your motherboard.
I tend to recommend M-ATX as I really like the form factor and it's often cheaper to get a damn good M-ATX case compared to an ATX.
