Yes I’d like to keep the components as long as possible so I’ll go for the 3700x. I mainly play games like Diablo or strategy games like Starcraft along with single player games like red dead redemption 2 etc.
I’m trying to play borderlands 3 but it’s so laggy I can’t bare playing it. Which I know is down ri my pc spec.
Would you mind being specific on the monitor screen ?
The pc is to be as future proof as possible so I can download new releases without the worry of lag issues, or at least the ability to play them on a good high setting.
Thankyou for all your help and input
I would suggest that you instead of keeping components forever. Buy value for money and upgrade more often.
If you want to do a build and have it last you for as long as possible then you require a massive budget.
It's better to buy cheaper more effecient system for the money and then upgrade regularly.
I've bought like 10 gpu's in the past 3 years for instance but in the gaming rig I went
750ti
1050
1060 3gb
1070
1080
2070 super
All bar the 750ti and 2070 super picked up cheap second hand. I bought the 2070 super brand new as it made sense to sell the 1080 for £300, get the 2070 new with warranty for £440 so only £140 for more power and brand new with warranty.
That's the thing all your stuff will be out of warranty within 1-3 years. It makes sense to sell it and upgrade piece by piece.
As my example it only cost me £140 to get a superior card brand new with warranty.
I actually also bought a gt1030 for a media pc but then upgraded to a second hand 1650 super for £120 to then turn that pc into a unraid server with media transcoding. That was a good find on ebay card was brand new too. The guy never ended up using it. Came fully sealed.
If you are planning on upgrading the gpu at some point it makes sense to get the 3600 and get a 4600 in future too.
