Help VIRUS formatted hard drive!

I had a malicious virus on a friends computer that deleted everything! There were some important documents that need to be recovered, is there ANY software available that can recover this data from the hard drive?????????

Like others have stated, it's not cheap to get back data, if the documents are worth the money, there are a lot of options.

For a one off recovery you might be better off sending the disk to a specialists. They'll probably be able to offer a one off cheaper than the cost of the software.
Now you know why we get so many questions on here about NAS systems, if your not willing to loose it, back it up.
