Help VIRUS formatted hard drive!

getdataback is a good one that worked for me the other day

Does depend what the virus did. If as the topic states it "formatted" the disk then no software is gonna recover the data, you need to go in at a hardware level.
Tho i quite doubt this is the case, it's probably just deleted stuff. Have you looked in the Recycle bin?

Its very easy to get data back after a normal format as its basicly just a big delete its only when the drive has then been written over again such as a low level format that software retreval becomes a lot more difficult but still not impossible

Yeh, athough if it deleted everything, how'd you look in the recycle bin? .
