I couldn't guess the cost, but you'd probably get a good 80% of your price back, which might be enough for the iMac.. don't quote me though, I've been out of the PC realm for a long time now.
 
Well i graduated from uni in 2004, I typed my uni in on the apple website and it gave me the discount, should I just buy one or will the fraud police catch up with me in 6 months or summit?

dunno weather to get the asus eeepc 900 or the base level macbook pro, ** all gonna say mac no doubt lol.....????
 
That sounds like you are accessing the further education store.

The Higher Education (UNI) is only available via a University network, using a VPN, or you can call Apple.

They won't prosecute you, not least from my experience anyway
