I have just got my PC running at 4060.13ghz, ran PCMark, 3DMark, Super Pi. memtest, and ORTHOS, Furmark v1.8.2. all have passed no problem BUT when i run Prime95 it blue screens in about 10 second, this has me baffled! has anyone got any sugestions how to tweek this so i can get prime95 to run.

all my usual apps run fine and temps are at 36c idle and 49c under load, would it be safe to run at this speed even if prime wont run? or should i back it off till Prime will run ok?

As far as I am aware, Prime95 will put a lot more stress on your CPU than any of the other apps. PCMark and 3DMark are designed more for benchmarking rather than stability testing. Memtest is really for testing for faults in your RAM (you have a BE chip, so I'm guessing any FSB changes were minimal, in which case this is fairly unnecessary) and Furmark almost exclusively stresses your GPU.

Prime95 is great, but give IntelBurnTest a whirl - that's a real stress test ;)

I have the 965BE Deneb c3 and frankly speaking, 4.00GHz is difficult to get stable under your current cooling - I know, I have the CoolIt Vantage and whilst 4GHz is doable, the definition of stability will need to be bent somewhat.

But we'd need to know what your exact overclock is first - VCore, FSB, Multiplier etc etc, what have you done to your BIOS to land you at 4GHz? I'd say your load temps are way low for that chip at 4GHz. For starters, you'd need a higher than stock voltage and then you'd definitely be way above 49'c at load on a CoolIt Eco.

Prime 95 strees your pc quite a lot! tbh if it dosent crash after 20 mins ish your pc will probaly never crash at all! (thats what i have found anyway... or maybe i am just lucky :) )

intelBurnTest just got a BSOD as well so im gunna back it off till i get more clued up, this is my first attempt so still got a lot of reading up to do. cheers guy`s
