Help with converting video file to edit

I've got it into movieplus 5 as AVI, but the FPS is very low?! Why is this?! I used Freemake convert.

Try Freemake Video Convertor.
I now use it for all my simple conversion and cutting needs.

If you have it as an AVI file

• Open in virtualdub
• Find the start of the bit you want to remove, press Home on the keyboard
• Find the end of the cut, press End on keyboard
• Press Delete on keyboard
• Save as AVI
• Now compress it with whatever tool you're using

Hmm, I think you could get a AVCHD Converter, recently got an ifunia avchd converter's promo code for my MB, and its have Windows version.
