Help with eBay return request

I sold loads of phones on ebay and 2 tablets and never had any problems at all.

IMHO the title and description were OK. Its not the OPs fault that the buyer doesn't read things properly.

Also the very first words in large bold print in his Description says

With nothing at all saying it not an XE in the Description
It says it runs at XE speeds,
But notwhere is it written that this is not an XE phone..

looking at your listing, don't see a problem future advise I would list rooted in the title, but regarding the refund there is no ground from what was said, it not your fault the person didn't read the contents before auction. Also I don't see anything stating refunds also so you are not really entitle to give on back on stupidity. Personal I would let him go via dispute, and also advise ebay that the person is trying to pull a fast one, possible with a exchanging the phone or something else dodge, a phone is a phone I got this phone and when you start it up it does not say anything too much regarding the speed of the phone or anything unless you know what you are looking for. Also lookin at your feedback and years being there I don't see eBay kickin you on that, but if in doubt call them up and ask... it wont hurt..

just to clear things up there is nothing different between the standard version and also the XE, it is only kernel tweak, as both the phone has the same hardware, if he complain you can just say will put it back to the normal speed...and send it back free of charge...see what happens there

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the advert, the buyer either cant read or more likely realised hes paid over the odds for it and wants his money back. Agree with others tho if you had put something along the lines that it was a normal sensation with a custom rom he wouldn't have a leg to stand on. I recently sold my sensation for a tad less than that and it was immaculate, id previously tried selling it with a custom rom on like yours and got no takers as soon as I put it back to stock, s-on etc etc it sold straight away.

Having said all that hes already left you positive feedback??? In that case id let him open a case if needs be and see what happens, phone looks in good enough condition to me and had I of been bidding on it the description was pretty clear.

Unfortunately you must pay the return postage because you neglected to include in the listing that the buyer is responsible for all return postage costs.

If it goes to a claim and the buyer wins, ebay will say to the buyer that they will pay for return postage by offering the buyer a means of posting it using a printed label to take to the post office. I don't know if ebay try to claim the postage costs from you but I suspect they would.

If it was me and a buyer tried it on by saying it was dirty like a 5 year old phone I would refuse to accept the return.

how long have they done this for?

normally buyer pays just the same as they do with everything else and same if you.rma atm a company.

This only happens if you are an ebay business seller.

you're bang to rights IMO, just return it and list it as a modded sensation if you must, I expect you'll get a better price setting it back to stock though.

I'd never sell a modded phone, thats just asking for trouble, especially not calling out another higher value phone as the "@" speed. You should at the least have said Sensation running at 1.5ghz and not mentioned the XE in the title.
