Help with getting a new processor

If you want a boost in gaming, getting a Phenom II X4 and then selling your Athlon II X4 would probably be the best bang-for-buck option.

I dont think you would see much gaming benefit by upgrading. If you do upgrade then I would stick with AMD because then you can keep your motherboard.

yeah i know it needs changing :/ it really is crap. least i know now not to buy a power supply on the cheap.

It a mistake lots of people make trying to save money but a good psu will do multiple upgrades to your rig. Can you not just overclock the chip you have to gain more fps ?? Get a better cooler if your still using the stock one.

I won't be making that mistake again, I did overclock my CPU yesterday to 3.3ghz and its made a slight difference. I'll put it up a bit more after I get a better cooler. I'll get it after I get an xfx power supply

Keep your Athlon and wait a few more months, As new tech is out.

I was going to get a Intel Sandy last week but since the bulldozer from AMD is out in a few months (I hope it's worth waiting for) I mite as well wait see what it brings to the table.
