In all seriousness it will be a problem for her if chairs are moving about above her etc, you have to sympathise with the noise thing however moving your stuff is something entirely different.
Its par for the course with flats you just have to put up with a bit of noise and be more considerate, i should know i have had a few problems with my downstairs neighbours over the years. All sorts of issues, similar to you, although ours were walking just normally on living room floor when we had wood flooring down so we took that up and carpeted it.
I know how mad it gets you and i totally understand but i wouldnt have posted an angry letter as it kind of cuts off an amicable end to things because now she has the hump with you massively. Best would have been to calm down for a day then go round and try and have a chat and hammer it out, the last thing you want is noise wars as you will end up having to move as the council will do nothing. Also if you own the property and you make a complaint to the council you then legally have to inform and future buyers thats their is/was a dispute.
Its a nightmare and honestly it could be a lot worse, at least its just complaints, we have to deal with a yapping dog all hours that drives us mad. I could deal with them complaining but when its you that hears the noise its a lot worse.

We had the same problem with a bar stool in the kitchen on the wooden flooring, didnt think anything of it and one day she cam knocking going nuts, we narrowed it down to the stool and i got felt pads and its sorted. Keep them sweet and when the shoe is on the other foot they should do the same. At the end of the day its your home, your last retreat from the world after work, you dont need grief there.
