Help with watercooling setup!

for Christmas i have decided that i am going to watercool (cant wait :D) i am only going to do my CPU for now but will do my GPU when a get a card that supports watercooling, is the spec below suitable to cool a i5 750 @ 3.8ghz and keep it below 30 degrees idle? also how would i go about plumbing it all in because i have no idea where to connect all the hose's :S

yeah that stuff will keep your chip very cool......dont forget about the fans on the rad though.....there the key to watercooling.good static pressure is what you need for rad cooling....apaches or noctuas are best....you will find a guide thread in the forum somewere.. good luck
 
im currently watercooling my i5 myself my temps at 3.8ghz were just under and sometimes a bit over 30 idle load temps were 55 and under. too bad i have to sell it :(

anyways you need 8 barbs 2 for the waterblock, 2 for the res, 2 for the pump and 2 for the rad.

also why spend £35 on coolant when you can just buy distilled or deionised water locally for 99p
 
Also, I'd recommend going with masterkleer 7/16" tubing rather than the tubing you've chosen, it will be a MUCH tighter fit and will be a lot more secure
will i need to change my fittings if i am changing the tubing?

no, but what you will need to do is when you're putting the tubing onto the barb, you'll have to put the tubing in boiling water, then dry it a bit, then put it on the barb and use a tubing clip for an airtight seal :)
 
i would stick with the 1/2 tubing and fittings......more fluid in the system means cooler

components....you can get feser bottled fluid in many coolers for £8 a litre so i wouldnt

buy fluid xp at £35 thats crazy prices.....i would get 9 barbs and clips for what you have

basketed above..... 2 for each item and 3 for the resevoir....mine takes 3 anyway

Yeah, the loop can be pretty much whatever you want. As long as the res is before the pump then everything else can go in any order. The order will just depend on what is easiest to route in your case. If you know where everything's going in your case, then the order will pretty much explain itself.
 
i set mine up like this:

Pump/res >> waterblock >> 120 rad >>240 rad >> Pump/res

pretty basic and yeah dont use feser

plain distilled water will be fine and much cheaper
 
I'm not sure whether it's just feser or all uv coolants. But there's a wide variety of problems such as staining your block and sediments build up

i dont know about anybody elses cooling loop but ive never had sediments build up...i think any thing with dye in it will stain eventually but thats the choice you make for colour! i always use 1/2 tubeing and components so maybe thats why i never get problems with sediments because my flow rates good and not restricted with smaller tubing!

but are there any major guidelines i need to follow i know you need a in and out for the fluid but if i bought all this kit i would have no idea of what needs to go where somthing like this maybe?

I don't know where you can put a rad in a 700D and I don't know how accurate that drawing it but make sure the res is above the pump to make sure its always got a feed water. THe blocks tell you which one has to be in and out, then its a just a matter of planning the best route for you.

the rad sits at the top the pump at the bottom and the res in the middle
