HELP !!!!!!!!!

Xbox 360, controller is better, system is better, Natal and more games.

/thread

lol

Dont answer things off the top of your head, Its silly!

1. Debatable- Depends on the game, depends how Dpad is involved
2. Debatable- Depends on whether you want to play blurays, Store movies on the PS3 hard drive, Run Linux or Have Vidzone.
3. Debatable- PS3 has an equivalent and neither is out
4. Debatable- Depends on the games you actually want to play

Thread is only going to (and seems to already have) go one way.

To the op; do some research into what titles each console has and decide based on those merits.

I could counter all those points but I'm not going to.

What a ridiculous thing to say.

As for the OP - how old are your kids?

I got my kids a Wii and the 360 gets more play from them these days, not sure why but my 5 year old just likes playing on the 360 more.

We also have a PS3 in the house but that doesn't really get used at all but if it was downstairs in the living room I imagine it would also get more play time than the Wii, they just don't seem interested in the Wii.

So, not much help from me there :p With regards to kids I'd say there are more kid friendly games on the 360 as you have the Arcade which you can download games from, the PS3 also has the store but in my opinion it has less child friendly games on it.

best exclusives = best console. buy based on that if you can only buy one and if you like playing games.

Just work out which one has the games you want to play.

For me, my 360 gets used all the time whereas my PS3 hasn't even been powered on for months and my Wii probably hasn't been used for over a year now, but people have different opinions and for that reason, we cannot tell you.

You have to decide for yourself.

Why? Isn't it just as ridiculous to think you couldn't have your PC in the living room? That was the point I didn't want to make. Or are you posting without thinking again?

The only feasible PC I would have in my living room (and do) is a HTPC. Absolutely no way I would have a full blown gaming rig in there, therefore a 360 (or other console) is a better option.

I assume that is what you were getting at? That you can have a PC in your living room for high-end gaming? Possible yes, but an unlikely scenario IMO.

Yea that was my point but didn't want to start a debate. I have my main PC hooked up to my TV and with a 360 pad it's awesome, so much so it's making me play less and less on consoles. PC graphics are starting to pull way ahead now imo. The days of Gears 1 on the 360 looking much better than anything on PC are gone. I couldn't believe how much better Wolverine looked on PC over PS3, plus the majority of the latest PC games have the 360 button symbols actually displayed on the screen now if you are using the controller so it's almost like the 360 but with much better graphics.

not the point, its better from people who have them

It really isn't though, people will always have bias and differing opinions. Anyone that only owns one of the consoles will obviously be more likely to state that the system they own is clearly the best and even those that own both will have a favourite.

There is no 'best' console, there is only preference. As Nanoman said earlier, go on Metacritic and look at the top 20 or so games on each system and decide which exclusives appeal to you more.

Basicly sums it up go for the consle with the exclusive features & games you want.

My personal preference would be the PS3 as there's some exclusive i'm really wanting coming out like next year especially GoW 3 and the origami killer.

There is just no way i'm buying it at its current price thou.

In all honesty go get a ps2, dreamcast and a megadrive.

Why?

Overall, you'll have mountains more fun at a fraction of the cost. The last 2 weeks iv relived ff7 (only 6 hours in and need to sort out the disc a little) and metal gear solid one. Its one of those moments of remembering games from when i was pre teen that are actually still amazing now iv hit 20!

But if a modern console is needed get a ps3. Better glorified dvd player till gt5 is out :D

I'll do this the good old fashioned way :P

Wii - 5+ 15- 21++
Xbox 360 13+ 21- 21++
PS3 17+ 21- 21++

This is in now way inciting what age groups each console should be forced to use, it's merely showing what quality of games are for each system and to what age they aim for.

this is just my opinion anyway

ok, must admit i'm at a loss here..i know what natal's supposed to be..
so what is this epic fail for gamers? :confused:

Oh and, on topic, have a look, talk to the kids, you cant -really- go too far wrong with any of them it seems

Because some of us don't want gaming to turn into some sort of fitness competition. I'd much rather sit on my behind drinking a beer whilst playing games.
