HELP!!!

Hi,
I have just brought a new Samsung 1.5tb HDD from Overclockers.I installed it, but i am having problems. I am a golden oldie newbie, so bear with me! I managed to partition 40 Gbs for my os. But have 1357.26 GB free space,what do i need to do now to be able to use the free space.
I could really use some help. Thanks in advance.

you need to create a partition and format it

click start > right click my computer select manage, expand storage, select disk management.

I have found disk management,i right click,new simple volume,then it asks specify volume size max 1389833mb min size 8mb not sure what i need to do here?

Well it depends how big you want the partition to be, if you want to use all the free space set it to the max.
