Even the most powerful single GPU cards can be run on a 600 Watt PSU.

Get back down to the shop where you got it and kick up a fuss! Providing it's within a year and you have proof of purchase?
Sale of goods act should help you. Print it out and shove it in his face, threaten with trading standards and head office. Ask for his name and take a note of it.
All of that coupled with an alpha look should get you a refund. If it's a girl... wear nice aftershave and smile a lot.

thanks for all the help, im just going to buy a XFX Pro 750W to be on the safe side and have a some extra power there if i need it.
