So I've just built a PC with the help of my dad using the parts recommended by some of you guys. After much stress we finally got it to work, kind of. My PC randomly crashes and freezes and the drivers are all form 2006 but have no means to update even through disks.

Here are the parts:

Gigabyte 990FXA Motherboard
AMD FX8350
Gigabyte R9 270X
Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD
Corsair 8GB RAM
Steelseries Apex Keyboard
TeckNet M133 Mouse.

Any ideas?

that's exactly what I'm think Stulid..
I can't download the drivers from their websites because I can't use my PC unless it's in safe mode due to the freezing and crashing

Update the boards BIOS.

You need this from Gigabytes website for the board.

Stick onto a USB thumb drive and use QFlash found within the BIOS to do this.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you saying the boards time and date is wrong which is effecting windows (especially website certificates)?

Have you tried the driver disk supplied with the board and gfx card?

If RAM is running at 1333Mhz and it should be 1600Mhz then go into the BIOS, memory section and try loading XMP profile.

What PSU are you using?

Have you got the extra 8pin ATX fitted near the CPU (should do as Im sure it doesnt work at all without).

If you don't have a PSU with an 8pin ATX (or even 4+4pin) then I would be concerned as it sounds old.
