ive rememered my password! :)

hi everyone, thanks for the well wishes.

i had 2 colloapsed lungs, shattered right arm, broken left arm/wrist/hand (pinned and plated) broken left leg in at least 3 places. luckily in the pub i was near there was a table of doctors, one of whom re-inflated my lungs. :) without the luck i had i would not be here now. im on weekend leave at mo, and hopefully i can go home in 2 weeks. :)

again:thank you. :)
 Good to hear you're on the mend, get well soon.

The above is the main reason why I'd never buy a bike :(

Neil.

thanks for all the well wishes. i owe my life to the doctors and nurses and people who were there when i needed them. quite simply, without them i wouldnt be here now so thank you to all those that have helped keep me here. :)

I'm glad you lived through it. I knew you'd had an off from the VD forums but didn't put 2 and 2 together to work out you were posting here too.

Mend fast my good man.

sounds brutal, but i hold no dis-regard for the vehicles involved. it was operator error either by him or me. again, thanks for the well wishes.

forgot to add, i have my leg pinned, metalwork reconstructing my elbow, hip pinned, metal work in my other arm and i had my shoulder blade broken, and 2 bones around left eye were broken. thats on top of the above.

hi all, my second weekend home in 6 months now! been brought home by my grandad and i have nothing planned except just to enjoy myself and forgo the frustraions which blighted the last one. having nothing planned i can just ease myself in although i'm determined i will have a bath if it bloody kills me. so far i've had washes and seated showers at the walsgrave which has been superb. i WILL do this though, and its been that determination which has got me to the point i'm at now. i'd like to add dom has been really good at my website hosted by vidahost. once i explained he was more than to forgo the charges for the website. i'd also like to thank the friends who visited me. they are true friends. i'd also like to thank my family who i have come to depend on! the frustrations last week centred on things i could no longer do like ride a bike but theyve made me more determined that i will achieve my goals which are a)ride a motorbike again, and b) when i have kids to play with them as god intended!

Wish you all the best on the road to recovery. Thank fully i've never had any serious injuries, yours sound beyond serious though!

Bath, scented candles and some bubble bath is what you need :p

I can understand the desire to have a bath, after breaking my leg I had to live with just washes for a month or so, that first bath was bliss, god knows how you've managed for 6 months :o

Glad to hear you're slowly getting better, and that you intend to get back on bikes

Hope the recovery continues to go well :)

:O I remember reading his funny name a number of times :D

 Just seen what I wrote :o It was meant to say full! :(

It still makes me giggle that you forgot you're password :D

The amount of injury's you had sounds like you were very close to death!

Any chance of a pic of you bandaged up in a wheel chair like a disabled person? :D

lol yeah injuries i had and the determined i was when i forgot my password.

no pic unfortuntely unless you want one of when i was in operation which is bit gruesome and im grateful for lack of scanner. with the injuries i had it was 4 or 5 days before they told my family they could be going to a morgue or to a ward..:( for the first 24 hours i was so close to death it was unreal and they told my family to expect the worst.:(:(

That is a pretty horrific thing you have had to go through there, glad to hear that you're on the mend, even though i dont know you :).

On a side note, i bet the airports are gonna love you when you go through the scanner :D

That is pretty handy, though i hope there are no terrorists or gun makers reading this :)

That is a pretty good thing having it all out of titanium, i suppose it doesnt feel any heavier to lift your arms or legs then?

a little bit heavier and my knee is non-existant now but it might just be the feeling.
