To dharok's post:
Read a review on that solid state harddrive the other day, and the advantages over say a raptor are definately not worth the additional price.

That 1gb graphics card is only actually 256mb, the rest is stealing from RAM so probably isnt a great idea.

Lastly, is your name from rs ? :p

Ok, about the SSD your probably right but if you got the cash, it's gotta be worth it - Just to be flash + different :)
Didn't know about that GFX card, but saw the 1024mb bit and thought, that can't be right! But stuck it on there anyhow not knowing that it's only 256 and steals the rest!

So in that case, I'd change the GFX to a 2600 or 1950Pro.

I forgive ya! :p well I nearly have my own spec written based on you guys ideas but I'm totally lost on motherboards LOL best I trundle off to that forum and have a read I think.

Lightroom does everything with the CPU and so it is likely to gain more speed as multicore systems get faster

Quad core makes sense for photoshop, and the middle priced processors arent really worth it.

Hah, had a feeling i might have, but never hung around for an answer, i quit playing last july after seeing it had annhilated my A level results lol
I guess the SSD has certain bragging rights, but i doubt anyone who didnt know loads about would really benefit from it.
I used to be a mod on an rs forum, they all seemed to fail miserably though lol
