Here we go again - Clattenburg accused of racism

Although I think if proved he will never ref again, it's not like footballers use the best language at them either. If he gets banned and I was a ref I'd send of every little scum bag footballer that said " **** off ref". ;)

Guardian said:
Clattenburg was miked up throughout the game and he could be heard by his assistants and the fourth official. Their conversations would not have been recorded but they could, in theory, be in a position to assist any inquiry.
Why not do what they do in Rugby and broadcast refereeing decisions? Would help all involved understand why decisions are made and if a player swears at them and it can be heard publically, instant red card.

because games would have to be abandoned in less than minutes? iirc a few years back David Elleray was miked up for a game and there was relentless swearing from the players, no surprise it didn't become a permanent thing, although maybe it should...

Because like the kick it out campaign and the respect campaign towards each other and officials is just pretending to care to tick boxes.

Ref's have jogged backwards from from oncoming players for years while they gather round him on mass to complain and swear. They should have stood their grounds and sent the ****s off years ago to get some actual respect on the football pitch and let kids know that **** isn't acceptable.

Why is it 'Here we go again'?
Has he been accused of racism before?

If Chelsea have actually accused him of that, that's a massive call.

The Guardian seem to be the only ones reporting this, everyone else just mentions 'inappropriate language'.

Yep, and even then its possibly a slur. It's certainly possible it could be a misinterpretation rather than being explicit racist language as from from Suarez and Terry.

The ism that he should have been reported for is favoritism, not racism ;)

Shame Chelsea didn't get as offended by their own Captain. I imagine this is payback.
