"Spanish ****" is probably more plausible than using stronger language against Mikel, but I think that tabloid journalists and twitterers have just read the official statement phrase "inappropriate language" and jumped to the conclusion that it must mean some racist language was used, then made up the rest as they went along. The only other place I've found "Spanish ****" mentioned was in the comments of a Chelsea fanzine report linked by Newsnow, so not the most reliable source.

Spanish something would be worse than not, but do we really think he would be racist if he called him Spanish, okay maybe he really does hate spanish people but I doubt it.
If he's actually done something untoward, okay, but some swear words, does anyone actually watch football anymore, most of the footballers swear all game, so does EVERY referee I've seen play, telling players to f off constantly throughout games as they wave away protests.
We seem to be going through a moment of complete idiocy in the press, fans, footballing world. People say stupid things, always have done, always will, sober and calm, drunk or with adrenaline pumping, emotions running high have always been a situation where people blurt crap out, rarely is it true feelings, in most situations its a slinging match of swear words. Its part of human nature, we can pretend its not or just get on with it.
I hate Suarez completely, I dislike Terry but not as much as some, neither are racists, anyone that believes so is daft. As we can pretend emotions and situation means people shouldn't say daft things, people also pretend that if you say anything, you are instantly whatever you said, for all time, with no logic in this thinking, ignoring all the times in their own lives they've said something out of character and not actually been that thing, or thought that way at any other time in their lives, before or after.
People say stupid things, now stfu and move on with life, it will happen another 1000 times to everyone, because thats life.
When Terry starts refusing to work with black players, refusing to employ a black driver, treating a black bouncer differently to a white one, being rude to black people he meets in his life, they he's a racist, then throw the book at him. While people are just saying stupid things... get over it.

Because generally rugby players aren't a bunch of foul mouthed yobs when they talk to the officials.
I very much doubt it is race related can't see a referee being that stupid, probably more likely that he called them "Chelsea *****" given the way in which all of the decisions went.

That's unfortunate, I suspect it will be after all this over.

That's a stupid question. Liverpool are ALWAYS the victims in any situation regardless of how any Liverpool player/fan/coach etc. has acted..
I feel sorry for the **** refs put up with.
That doesn't make it acceptable IF he racially abused someone but I wouldn't complain if refs went on strike to force the FA's hand on all the abuse they take. Then for a club to complain because a ref swore at them? Awww diddums! It should be instant red for swearing at refs, yellow for running up and complaining and it would stop straight away.

If its a simple case of swearing at a player, who cares. The refs get far more abuse from those on the pitch. If its race related as some papers are rolling with deserves the book (English ref though so the punishment won't be that severe). Either way a ban should be dished out, one less bias ref would be great
