Morning All,

I am looking for some feedback from Mirra 2 owners. I am about to push the button on a new chair and whittled it down from the Aeron and Embody to the Mirra 2.

I'm 6ft4 and 230lbs/103 kgs approx

The Mirra 2 I am looking at is the one with the butterfly back support.

What are people's thought's?
 
I am also interested in this. Thinking either about the Sayl (new) or for a bit less money I could get the mirra 2 used.

Will be going to their showroom in London in 2 weeks to try the Mirra out.
 
I have owned a Mirra 2 since June after binning my useless 'gaming chair'. Purchased direct through HM, delivery was great and it comes pre-assembled.
No complaints here, very solid chair, adjustability is good. Though like most chairs of this type dont expect it to instantly fix your bad habits, if you sit on it badly its still going to suck.
Im a similar height, I would say that you might find the back support not high enough and the seating lip that can be adjusted is something you will like one week and hate the next. One thing im most surprised about is its toughness. With my old chairs they would always get scuffed up or just look tired after a few months but these chairs seem to just be impervious to damage.

IM hoping to have a solid chair to reinforce my better habits as my steelcase cause by back to hurt after some time.

Its available with the butterfly back for £520 from their outlet so wondering about this or an aeron c or embody
 
I also own a Mirra 2 - have owned it since April 2020 and it's one of the best items I own. I have it with the butterfly back support.

Considering I spend most of my day working from home in the chair and then playing games in the evening at the same chair, it's well worth the money. Also noticeable how much better my back feels after being sat in it - and then the 15 year warranty is also brilliant.

We had a baby recently and I was on paternity leave for 6 weeks - the combination of feeding a baby whilst hunched over and not spending any time in the Mirra 2 meant by back was killing me. Started feeding the baby in the chair and it was great!

I'd say I'm 6ft but my wife is adamant I'm 5"11...

One of the benefits of the Mirra 2 over the Aeron is not having to buy a set sized model. My father in law is a tall man (6ft5) and he had to buy the largest Aeron - whereas when he sat in my Mirra 2 he can just adjust the front of the chair where the back of your knees are and have it closer in or further away, depending on what's comfortable.

I definitely echo what others have said though, it's worth giving one a try in person if you can.

Yeah, he had no issue sat on the Mirra 2 when he was up here working for the day and said it felt largely the same as his Aeron.
 
I have one of these, originally bought as a solution to the age old problem of the foam in normal padded chairs eventually becoming tired and compressed, leaving you backside effectively sitting on bare wood. True enough, the seat itself is as new after 10+ years. Medium sized niggles with it though are the arm rests, which are quite stubby and feel a bit too small. The other niggle is the back rest which has zero padding. If you like lounging about in a chair then the lack of back padding basically forces you to stop doing this, which in some ways is a good thing I suppose, but then again I do like a good slack lounge in a chair. Got myself thinking now if I could retro fit some back padding to it somehow.
 
@Bubo much appreciated. Yeah my backside does not appreciate the current chair. Im reassured by what you said as Im not a lunger, looking for something to support my posture the right way.

So, after a few days' use with my Mirra 2 I thought I would share some comments. The context the chair replaces a SteelCase Leap v2. And I am 193 cms tall and approx 102kgs in weight

I bought form their outlet and the experience was flawless. Arrived 48 hrs later at 0800 hrs in a sturdy box and inside the chair was enclosed in plastic sheeting. It looks absolutely brand new. I cannot see a single scratch, mark or anything on it.

The chair I bought was the Mirra 2, in white/urban orange and fully adjustable.

From the minute I sat in it I could tell this was 'The One' for me. My concerns beforehand about back rest height were unfounded as despite being tall/lon the back rest i just right. The butterfly lumbar support is easily adjusted and not too intrusive.

The seat pan is spot on despite having long legs and thus sitting wide. The front lip of the chair can be adjusted down/up so as not to dig into the underside of your legs.

Recling back in the chair is just bliss, its smooth and reassuring with the right amount of tension.

The arms were another area I was concerned about. But in practice they work brilliantly.

There was no manual included but a 2 sec search online got me that.

I'm not done adjusting it yet but so far, the seating position is not just amazing comfortable but my back pain after a few hours at the desk is already much much better. I absolutely love the mesh
