Can be. Although Izzual and I just won with a terror start. We were both 0-3 after about 10 mins.

The only way to turn a game around is teamwork, tactics and high awareness. I probably spent 60% of my time watching the minimap.

But 3 of us did have comms and we coordinated our attacks well from that point, managing to claw back a few hero kills and level more.

I havnt played shaman yet, bit of an enigma.. might check him out.
 
I've only played shaman once, and he seemed OK. Loving magmus, pestilence (very good for killing scout/night hound), electrician, magebane, arachna.

I have to play SD to force myself not to just keep playing the same heroes :(
 
good tip for legionaire is to intercept the creeps in between two towers at start of the game by going thru the forest, gives you a very early push as your creeps go straight to the tower with no resitance and gives you all the gold from creeps

have often killed the first tower in 2-3 min of game is a bit depedant on who you against (two ranged wouldn't work) but can work well :D, i did it last nite when i was soloing top lane vs pestilence and dark lady lol.

not played shaman yet either, but he seems very strong
 
This game is all about the mini map, you can be a pro with your hero of choice all you want, but if your to stupid to realise the whole enemy team is missing and there coming for you then its your own fault.

To often in game you got the whingers and noob ppl who complain, or say "ah i didin't no they were gone". These people are the typical feeders who cost teams game cause there so ****.

and sadly i've been on the end of the above type of team mates several times :(

Steep learning curve, not as newbie friendly as League of Legends but quite enjoyed my first few games, although the people who join noob servers and then start complaining about feeders after the first kill saying game over and keep spamming the concede vote are quite annoying.

You might think that, but I've played plenty of games where at the start our towers would go down first and their kill tally would definately be higher than ours but eventually with good teamwork it evened out and in one case whilst they were too busy ganking us our creeps went in and destroyed their base haha.
 
sometimes if one side pushes the outer towers they can become carless and push to hard and they all die espcially if the other team has some good carrys can get dangerous lol. brought back a game this morning when they had all the towers and we had lost all of ours and 2 barracks, just defended/ turtled and slowly evened out the kills and eventually started gaining on them.
 
It seems very difficult to play a fair/balanced game, where players are not total-noobs (people with <30-50 games) and where players are not total pros from dota.
PSR also seems pretty useless since I've played against players with 1400 PSR but 4:1 KD ratios
 
Just had a good game, close start, then they were ganking us after 10 mins and +3/4 lvls advantage but they never bothered killing our creeps so after a couple of decent pushes we soon caught up in lvls, pretty much trapped them in their base and won.

Been soulstealer on my own in mid a couple of times, good practice last hitting and denying, it's harder than it looks and very annoying when a decent player is good at denying.

Think I prefer HoN to LoL now, although I need to play lots more games of both.
