Lol, I can't stand Lost. It was actually the same for Angel until a mate had season 5 or 6 playing when I was round his place and I just got hooked, I think it's supernatural fight scenes and all. I'm not sure about Buffy, never really seen enough of it to make a judgement. But still, after watching a few episodes of Lost it's awful, I cannot find one redeeming feature it's just a stupid program with crap writers, imo!
You should check out Firefly, it's a little different but it's good. There are only 14 episodes I believe, a prequal to Serenity if I'm correct? (I haven't seen all 14 as of yet)
firefly is excellent, the characters and the way they talk and act is incredible. it was a farce the show got cancelled. Its only because of that that i watched Angel and really enjoyed it because i saw so much similarity in Wheadons writing and characters. while they are different to firefly they are all just normal typical guys. there is one scene in one angel with a nasty demon thing with spikes etc and the shot pulls back and he nekkid with a towel around his wait asking for the soap or something, its brilliant. I may even go bakc and watch buffy as i never got into it, frankly anything that joss wheadon writes now i'll be watching.
as for heroes, its damn incredible. the screaming at the end of the trailer for ep 18 after sylar meets peter again, and Heros comment in ep4 when he comes back in time on the train and says "you look different without your scar". cant wait to see ep 18, incredible.

The season moves in three arcs. The first being "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" which ran up until Christmas. Then a break for about 4 or 5 weeks then we have the 2nd arc "Are you on the list?" which runs up 18. Then we have an 8 week break before the third and final arc.
