Heskey has retired.

So his last noticeable contribution to England was wiping out Goofey. :p

******* donkey.

--- Bad Joke Warning ---

My girllfriend said she was leaving me last night. She said she just can't take me seriously anymore. I was so shocked I nearly dropped my official Emile Heskey fan club membership badge...

And England fans have a reason to cheer at last :D

LOL:D indeed...why he was picked for the WC i will never ever really know...mind boggling to say the least.

I heard or read somewhere that some goalkeeper that plays or has played for a S American team had a higher goal tally than Hesky...says it all really.

Personally Capello should have put that lumbering big oaf in defence...seeing as he put Ferdinand out of the WC...should have played in his position:p

Jose Luis Chilavert perchance? He scored 8 in 74 for Paraguay which isn't too far behind Heskey on a goal/game ratio but then he often took free kicks or penalties. Or from the link in Chilavert's page you might be thinking of Rogério Ceni.

Well I'm disappointed that Heskey has retired from international football, still at least he can concentrate on Villa now, there's no reason for the game to mourn just yet when such a talent still plays in the EPL.

basic maths:

leicester 29%
liverpool 25%
Birmingham 20%
Wigan 18%
Villa 12%

thats goals per game folks. you can see clearly why he went to the world cup.

Emile Heskey: 62 caps,7 goals.

Columbian goalkeeper Rene Higuita: 68 caps 8 goals.

Happy retirement, Emile.

Oh thank god!

Is that list of percentages the amount of games he scored in?

I.e netted near on 1 in 3 at Leicster, but down to nearly 1 in 10 at Villa?

I didnt think he was that good to get a goal every 10 games!!

Must include some OG's somewhere.
