Hi, I am new to this forum. I was wondering which case is better, I saw the post made by Fatboy. My two choices are kandalf VD4000 or Armour LCS. Which one do you guys think is better?

Another question is, I have never assembled a computer before. I am just buying a new case and move my present components into the new case. What should I be wary about when moving the components. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

One more thing, I see that the cases comes with their own liquid cooling system. I have no exprience installing a liquid cooling system before. Any help would be great!

Liquid, or watercooling is usually only used by people with a bit of experience using computers, slightly more complicated than air cooling as you have to route the tubing, but nothing overly complicated. It should all be covered in the instructions of the case cooling combo.

Having not used either of them personally it is very hard to comment on which is better, extremely new product.

My gut tells me the Kandalf is the one to go for though, also looks a lot better in my opinion.

Nothing really to be wary of when moving the components, just put them on a desk carefully and avoid putting them on anything that builds up a lot of static like certain carpets.

I would question if you need the water cooling though, nothing to be scared of but its usually used when people are overclocking their computers and want that little bit more performance.

For a first move I personally think it would be best to keep it simple and avoid the water cooling, but the choice is yours. :)
 
Yes, I agree with you, kandalf looks much better ( the front ) lol. yea maybe I will move my components first and see if it works, then try to explore water cooling bit by bit. Theres always a first time for everyone, I want mine to come soon, don't wanna wait till 30s to do that Lol
 
Since Yewen seems to have missed out on saying it; Have you had a look at the Lian Li pc7+? Its a very good quality case for an excellent price and would be ideal for a first time build. It might look a bit boring in pictures, but it looks stunning in person. Just search this forum to see how popular it is. You also might want to have a look at the Akasa Eclipse 62. This is another very well built and popular case ideal for a first build. :)
 
Yea the Akasa looks great, but the one with window is out of stock Lol. I know LianLi is a good case, just.. I don't like the name, a bit girly. Now I will probably get the Akasa or kandalf now. Thanks for input khan! wouldnt even notice akasa if you didnt mention it :cool:
 
You wont buy the best case brand out at the moment because of the name?! :eek:

Did not recommend any alternatives, oops.

But the PC7+ and the Akasa Eclipse are ideal cases for new people, can handle anything you want in the future, easily handle anything.

No frills, nothing to go wrong really with them.

Ideal for first builds and the latest £2000 over clocked rigs really.
 
Ive had a few cases, and all i can say is the novelty wears off! but not with a PC7!! Its just perfect in every way. And as for watercooling, ive never been brave enough to mix water with electricity yet :p but im shure i will in the future
 
Yea, the name just.. puts me off Lol. But, I am just simply moving my present components to another case, does that counts as building my own rig? Akasa's case, the one with window looks fantastic so does kandalf. But I can see that you guys love Lian Li cases, so may I ask, which model of Lian Li cases looks the best? I prefer a case with space inside, not too cramped. And I prefer if it is transparent at the side, cause I am going for water cooling, wanna see the tube etc hehe

I dun see that model under Lian Li cases. And is there any Lian Li cases that r transparent at the side, like akasa/kandalf, thanks.
 
Quite a few of the Lian Li cases have optional windows, but they have to be bought seperately. Anyway, this is what the pc201 looks like;

I see I see, the outlook isn't as nice as akasa or kandalf tho. If I want to purchase window for Lian Li cases, how do I go about it?

And If I want the Akasa case, when is the one with window coming Lol. Or should I just order both seperately? I see in other thread that akasa cools the comp good.

Just buy the case and the window separately, gives you choice.

Same thing with the Lian Li cases although understandably OcUK does not stock a wide range of windows for them, but Lian Li do make them for most cases.
 
Lol mate, I think I will get the Akasa Eclipse :p. Looks darn pretty. I have thought of Lian Li cases, but I am scared that it wont come with the window to fit that certain model that I will choose for Lian Li. Another question is, u know the akasa, there is 2 types of side that is compatible with it, which one is better the honeycomb thingy or the window one?
 
The eclipse comes with a basic side panel, so you do not have to buy another to get it to work.

The one with a fan is usually used with a dual graphics card rig, and the window for people wanting to show off their computer. :)

Take which option you want the most really.

Sorry to be offtopic, but can i ask if that case is standing upside down or deigned that way?
 
kk. i think the window side panel is a much better choice here. The one with fan.. is it really necessary now? I mean, altho my comp will generate quite a heat and I am going water cooling.. so the window panel would be a much better choice right?
 
The Eclipse as is can handle anything you throw at it, just goes from being the best cooling case to the best cooling case +1 fan really.
