I enjoy playing on them. Really stable and lag free servers.

Out of interest a mate of mine has develpoed a map called hdn_warehouse. Set in an old meat abatoire. Fantastic and very atmospheric. Can send you a copy for evaluation if your interested

I'd like to try it out please. I have asked people in the server what they think about putting customs on and most seem against it though. I have noticed myself when servers change to customs a lot of people leave without people joining to fil their places so it'd need to be pretty good to be added to the cycle lol.

Downloaded this mod to try it out and its got 4 hours straight playing. VERY addictive and seriously fun. On the sewer level you really do feel like your being stalked when its just you left against the "hidden" lol.

Very good game, worth the download

yeah thats 50% of it, the rest is the radio chatter. The community is quite friendly and some guys on a server gave me those 2 tips and told me to keep at it and after about an hour you can track the hidden far better than before. The trick is staying in small groups of people who know how to use the "contact" message so they light up on your map.

You can also pop rounds into walls for the dust spray as it makes the hidden really stand out if it walks through it

I'm fairly new to HL2 mods too, but it plays through Steam and doesn't seem to interfere with CS:S, HL2 or DOD:S. Well worth a play - Really gets my adrenaline going when I play as the hidden (though I've never won

EDIT: Oh, and the installer does it all for you so no .ini file hacking or anything.

Been playing this for about a month or so now, and it's taken over aas my game of the moment without a doubt. Fantastic atmosphere and fun, just a pretty steep learning curve for the n00bs.

There's some seriously good players out there too, I manage to get about 6 out of 8 most of the time without relying too much on Pigstick, yet there are people out there that take out a whole team without the PS or a grenade, they'll hang bodies up everywhere and freak you out

Press your use key to pick them up. Hang on a wall and look directly at it, then press your pigstick key. Jump off the wall, and you've got one nice hanger

And yeah, the radio can do wonders to put the jitters up people
