Hiding Stuff

Just leave it where it is, and upon them discovering it act surprised and shocked at them finding your Dad's stash.

Or, just be like... "WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU KIDS PUT ON MY COMPUTER?". Then run to their parents and exclaim your disappointment in their children for carrying out such atrocities. They'll most likely be embarrassed and won't be allowed back on it.

I haven't tried the CLI but using the program to Mount/Unmount is a right faff unless I've missed something.

So I've got my secret file that is actually a 20 meg drive (for test purposes) and I've put a couple of MP3's in.
I then Unmount the drive and it disappears.
To get it back I run the program, choose the file again and Mount it to a drive where I can now see the files.
That's a lot of clicks compared to Folder Guard but nice for free.

That's the point with how it works. If you're just after the ability to hide folders from most people then folder guard looks like it does it; if you want to hide the folders from anyone (e.g. all your credit card details, secret bank accounts, passwords and your Wikileaks insurance file) then Truecrypt is the safest to do it.

You can make it save your mounted file history so in reality it only takes a couple of clicks.

Right I've been experimenting with DOS commands (or CLI if thats what you want to call it).

Some well placed BAT files solves all the clicking :)
I'll stick with Folder Guard for me but now know what to do for customers files on their machines.
Thanks
