haha, such high production values for a random forum thread.
Drum loops and samples?

Hardly a multi-million pound budget (no offense Gordy)

I for one am glad it was this good quality.. I emplore ElRazur to release anything remotely as well produced, or near that quality.

Speaking of which.. [Removed - Steady on...]

Top man Gordy.

Lol it wasn't bad for an hours work I guess. The mix is probably awful though, was too late to listen through my monitors and had to use headphones instead. It doesn't take long to throw something together when you've spent weeks on end working with some very famous producers. Some of their methods tend to rub off on you.

If I get a chance i'll redo it properly, add some harmonies and clean up the vocals. The EQ on the vocals are probably way out since as I said it's impossible to judge through cans.

Anyway it was all just for a laugh. I'm pleased you all liked it so much. :D

Sequenced in Cubase SX 3
NI Battery 2 with some randomly picked snare/kick samples (Ran through some heavy limiting in L2)
Spectrasonics Trilogy for the Bass
EWQL Symphonic orchestra strings (which includes some horns) as well as some other EW horn samples
Waves plugins for compression/EQ/Delays etc...

And so on...

Some pretty expensive kit there actually but then I do work in the industry. :p

Yeah tell me bout it.. just finished my studio; ProTools HD 7 :D

I never been much of a Cubase fan, although SX is a vast improvement.. I was on it earlier mastering some cheep crap metal band

If I didn't use MIDI so extensively these days i'd be using ProTools too. Mostly for convenience of transportation between studios of course. Having said that you'd be surprised how much pro work gets done in Nuendo (The AV version of Cubase) these days... Though not much rock/pop I should add.

When Digidesign finally have a MIDI implementation to match their Audio engine i'll switch. :)

EDIT: While I think of it, how is MIDI coming along in version 7? I haven't seen that version in action yet even though it came out in November iirc? Commercial studios tend to take a while to upgrade. :(

granted, but its surely better than one guy with a £1.99 mic going straight into onboard audio recorded in 'sound recorder' which is tbh all that i would have expected lol.

Yeah granted.

A mate of mine who runs a studio of his own swears by cubase, but i'm just more of a purist.. hate working with MIDI if i can avoid it, and therefore just slipped in to ProTools at a time when Cubase 5 was still Steinberg's latest offering. Must say, nuendo is good but it feels too much like they always wanted it to be called Cubase 1.5 lol

As for transportation,, got an old G4 mac and a simple I/O preamp rack with 16 inputs.. (digidesign m-rack) s'all i need for my lighter stuff.. I need to upgrade that next :(
