High Heels

I was going to post my ballet heel pics, but after the comments i've seen here, i'll keep them to myself :P I dont really have the figure for them at all.

Got enough normal heels to keep me going :)

Im sorry to all the boot fanatics but this is just miles better. Boots and those ballet heels are totally yuck. Fine is everything.

Definately, i only bought the ballet heels for the challenge, to see how difficult they really were.

Prefer strappy heels myself, think i only have the one pair of boots.

I want to marry this girl too!

Those just look desperately uncomfortable, I'm sure that the wearer can become accustomed to them but realistically they are likely to be permanantly altering their calf shape and therefore ability to wear "normal" flat shoes.

A girl in high heels can look great and a good pair will define the calf, accentuate the leg overall and make for a pert bum but the shoes are usually not the first thing that I notice or indeed care about. As I'm not short myself having a girl in high heels is no bad thing but it can be a bit of a shock when they take them off and shrink to their normal height.

Semi-pro, they are really really uncomfortable, putting all your weight on your toes. Tears at my hamstrings too, plus it's so easy to turn an ankle in them. I can stand up in them fine for long periods of time, but balance is really hard and walking is nigh-impossible.

What is the point in even having them then??

Thanks for confirming that, I'm more than happy to take your word for it as I'm definitely not about to test them just to try and prove you wrong.

I don't think they're mean't to be comfortable, they're just extreme. I'd imagine most people who wear them aren't on their feet when they have them on either ;)

However, there seem to be some people, probably ballet trained who are able to walk in them for longer periods. And thank the lord for that!

For me it's not all about the look of ballet heels, it's their effect of restricting movement of the wearer, as a form of bondage.

With regards to heels being to tall for the wearer's feet to cope with though, I found this with little searching (it's probably bs but meh),

Finding the maximum heel height you can wear comfortably.
1. Take off your shoes and socks and stand barefoot facing a wall.
2. Rise up on you tip toes as high as you can while keeping your knees straight inline with your shoulders and ankles. “Put your hands flat on the wall to help keep your balance”.
3. Now have a friend measure the distance from the bottom of your heel to the floor.
This is your maximum heel height.

Seems along the right lines to me, as different size feet will have different arching abilities.
