Not wish to disrespect you but...
Not quite sure I'd agree with putting Tagan in the "used to be good" category.
As far as I'm aware, they are a relatively new company (founded 2001/2 I think) and I was under the impression that their products had improved over the years.
I can only speak from my own personal point of view. And I think the current BZ series are a step up from the previous modular ones (and I've had both). The reviews on the whole seem more favourable. Though I have seen one comment about that secondary capacitors and the tester was a little concerned that they were not a make he recognised. And into this some people seem to have read that they have "poor build quality". This article then goes on to test the BZ past the point that a lot of PSU's go "pop" (and in the real world, no one will ever get close to this) and it passed with flying colours and gets a recommended award. It certainly swung the sale for me.
Now I'm not saying that no Tagan ever fails, I'm not that much of a "fan boy" but then again, even the premier brands have problems at times.
In the end, you pays your money and takes your chance (pretty much like life in general).
