I wouldn't say El-p wasn't original though, especially from a production perspective, I can't really think of anyone else who was doing what he was doing with on stuff like the Cannibal Ox album or even his own albums. I definitely think of him as a producer first and foremost though. Glad we agree on Dilla though

Couple of 'old school/golden age' releases this week.

WC (Of WC and the MAAD Circle fame) and Showbiz and KRS-One both have new albums out, Ive picked them up but havent listened yet.

RIP Nate Dogg.

He was never the most dominant or influential of artists but if you had Nate on your hook you'd always have a hit. Dre n Snoop gotta drop a sick "mournin ma dogg" tune.
