this is my vote- go for a nice 9 / 12 U rack under the desk there. can fit ups, network kit, 2x pcs ,nas all super neat and tidy keeps the desk clean, and no issues with weird cases like the capo

The Capo in the room you've shown would look very ridiculous and OTT to me unless you spent silly money matching both builds, which I expect is going to be an issue if you're that much into aesthetics, a dual slot card vs a triple in the same case etc. Your initial case seems to not have any windows, and looks kinda large to me in honesty.

Would a pair of well built Lian Li A3's nested fully centre not look a lot better?

I'm just going off your room, it looks amazing but I can't see a dual build in the case you're considering not becoming annoying. I have similar concerns but I just cannot view anywhere it could sit without tweaking my eye given how huge it'd be.

get that pc off the desk. get the kit under the desk. I don't know the OP's components, but looks like he needs 2 matx boards. + extras. I don't see any attraction to putting 2 PCS's in one case at all. Reading the use case on the website it does mention this, but It seems far more suited to a single user, who needs 2 pcs, rather than 2 people. What happends when you want to upgrade your pc, or fix it, or something is wrong with one of the pcs. It's like literally all eggs in one basket scenario. just seems like disadvantages. What if you want to move your pc but it's joined to hers ? any nicely stackable PC case would be superior imo.


edit to add. looking at the pic again. I'm not sur what the white thing with what looks like a VCR or priner on it is. But why not split the 'desk' area in 2 so you get half, the missus gets half, (her area looks pretty squished. up ) and put the 19" rack under the centre area. This would be pretty smart looking . Nice door, or smoked glass cabinet. Especially if you got das blinkenlights on the go. would look the business.

I totally agree, it'll never look good and wind you up no end if you've any sort of OCD. It's not ever going to match unless you spend silly money and perfectly match both builds, and even then it'd look poo given the image of the setup shown.

I'd either rack mount, or do a pair of A3's either side of the room or full centre nested.

I totally understand how much OCD can kick you in the nuts and the OP's room looks pristine, really nice, the case/setup he's considering would drive me up the ******* wall.

The case in question is essentially a full tower but for display purposes, that's a megaton larger than a standard (midi) build, two smaller but competent M-ATX's such as A3's would take up far less space and remain tasteful.

Got to agree with this.

Think the Capo X would spoil the aesthetics of the room as it is huge.

How about a couple of these Lian li B4 cases?

My basket at OcUK:

They look like they would match the room perfect. You could make some sort of shelving to stack them so they are not directly on top of each other and maybe still smaller than the Capo X.

100%..this or the a3 wood (same look), but with mesh sides, not glass, no rgb...2 of those would fit in the room perfectly. Our office has dark wood panelling, and i got fractal north case that fits in the aesthetics. Think the cases have to be tailored to the room, seeing as it's so well appointed. b4 of course can be cofigured into vertical orientation to sit it eh corners of the room with the wood facing out, so the vertical slats will align with the wall

I keep forgetting about the new B4, looks to be a really nice case with the options it has for this sort of setup.

think would look good as a steam machine too..vertical on 10cm taller than an XSX so wouldn't look out of place...a lot cheaper than going itx route too...did you see J-Z build with the fractal ridge? Don't think I'd be wanting to spend that kin=d of money just on a case....reminds me of a n old vhs or bluray player if you put it on it's side...def wouldn't be going in my living room

I'll check it out, but why does it look like the modem virgin gave me? :cry:

I've always been keen on Lian Li cases and the A3/B4 are fantastic given how much you can cram into them, especially for the price. M-ATX sure but they look smart and really don't take up that much space unless you're severely limited.
 
The dual-PC case is a really neat solution for a shared room. Reusing the 9800X3D and 5080 should also make the second build much easier to put together.
