This so common, people just don't accept responsibility these days. Bloody ****s!

I was sat in my car once, having a nap while herself was shopping, and some dizzy bint scuffed my bumper whilst attempting to park her Polo in a massive parking bay. The jolt was enough to rock the car, leaving a scuff on my real bumper plastics and a gash in her paint. I jumped out and shouted at her, she denied hitting anything :p Crazy. I just got the police involved, car park had CCTV showing everything

Last week a 16 year old cyclist decided to go straight over a give way junction and into the side of our car.

No damage to him or his bike just a grazed elbow, nice big dent on the wing of our car and of course being a cyclist he's not got any insurance.

Police were called etc etc, funny thing is we found out later that it's not the first time he's done it.

He called us the following night saying his bike was damaged, and his neck and shoulders were hurting, he had obviously spoken to his parent's and was trying to set the ball rolling about making a claim.

I sent our insurance company some pictures of the damage etc, showing that he had hit the side of us, not heard anything since.

Update: confronted the women on her way back to her car Friday afternoon. I said what had happened, the marks on her car indicate etc (now she had moved spaces to other side) and she just point blank refused.

"I don't think so, they are old marks (clearly they was fresh, and a women driver :D )" not a lot I could do, I don't have any proof.

Popped to a garage on the weekend and they wanted £235.00 subject to dismantle. No chance am I paying that!

I put my Meg G220 over it on the weekend and removed all the marks it's just a hideous grey patch now :(

"oh hey ummm yea my bike is busted and i'm hurting.... um....yea.....bye" this is how i envision that phonecall went xD

I'm assuming the cops made a report as they were called? i some how doubt his claim will get very far :p be interesting to see what their story would be....

call CSI forensics and get them to get a positive match ID on the paint xD if those are her words then it's not out right refused "I don't think" indicates doubt in her thoughts. but again, not sure how you can really prove it without the camera pointing there :( dunno if it's possible to get an independent party (doubt police would) to have a look at both the cars and the paint so you can have "professional opinion" indication it was her fault and she is full of bull and should cough up!

They took a full statement from both me and the cyclist, he admitted there and then it was his fault.

Add some more 'old marks' to her car when she's not there. ;)

I would be taking pictures of the corresponding damage to both vehicles and moaning at the police until they did something about it if that had happened to me.

This.

I may be wrong, but hitting another car and failure to notify them constitutes a criminal offence does it not? I'm sure the police would be interested in that ;)

As the op said - no proof.
