Greetings all!
I'm looking for a good quality/quiet hard drive, to supplement my Samsung 830 SSD boot drive, for my gaming PC, and don't mind paying over the odds for something more reliable than a 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001, which has a flaky track record depending from what factory it's shipped from.
Sadly 1tb SSD for gaming isn't viable option right now, what would be my next best bet, I've excluded the WD VelociRaptor due to excessive noise and questionable value/reliability, and reading reviews on the web the WD Caviar Black series does not fare any better, but I'm given to over thinking these things.
The Hitachi Deskstar 4TB is highly recommended by Storage review

Would I be better served by a cheaper WD Red series noted for their reliability or to quote storagereview: WD Caviar Green earns a nod for high reliability, or simply follow the heard and opt for a 3TB Toshiba DT01ACA300, please advise?

http://www.storagereview.com/best_drivesHitachi is a clear leader in the highest-capacity hard drive market, while also offering performance that should make customers think twice before insisting on technology like the WD Velociraptor that offer better performance at the cost of a lower maximum capacity.
