Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

I prefer checkpoints systems in games like this. Being able to save anywhere is only really an advantage if you are going to abuse it. ie reloading whenever you are spotted in order to get achievements. Having said that though, I hope they don't do it in such a way that you have to sit through long cutscenes and stuff

It was you got a different amount of save depending on the difficulty at least that's how I remember it.

I think Hitman Bloodmoney was the first game that introduced regular saving, but it was not available on the most difficult setting, and prevented you getting Silent Assassin rating.

In blood money, the number of saves per level were limited (e.g. 5 only on a higher difficulty). You could save whenever you wanted, but this created the additional (and welcome) stress that if you use up your saves too early, there may be a long kill/stealth section around the corner where you'll end up gimped for saves.

For those that have got the game AND played blood money, how do you like the checkpoint system?

I prefer Blood Money's save limit by a mile.

Especially if dead gaurds are going to come back alive after you re-load a checkpoint all the way through Absolution :(

Also, quick time event shooting a-la Splinter Cell Conviction.... NO NO NO NO!

Gameplay, Sound, Graphics and performance are good and i'm still enjoying it ( i even quite like the story), but there a few things that they have ruined :(

I guess the system is okay, but it seems pretty inconsistent. Example, on the outside part of the prologue there was a save just outside the tennis court, then another about 10 paces further on...then when I got inside the place there didn't seem to be any more

The reviews for this aren't looking good tbh.

6-7/10 at most places, except IGN who are 9/10.

What score would you guys give?

Some of the dialogue has been atrocious so far though...."I admire a man with the courage to **** where he eats":o....what dose that even mean!!!?

I love that saying. It refers to someone dating a waitress/waiter or whatever from your favourite resturant. You may get great food whilst everything is going ok, but once the relationship ends you can never go back to that place again or be prepared to eat ****.

6-7 is still a pretty solid score for a sequel these days, especially one that is trying to appeal to a broader audience to drum up more sales. That will obviously be at odds with the purists who loved the original.

I've not really played enough of either mode to give it a fair review and I'm guessing many will feel the same. So far I'm enjoying it though, performance issues aside.

I wanted Blood Money 2.

This is like a horrible cross between Blood Money and Splinter Cell Conviction ( which was pap).

It is still a good game in its own right ( bar the save game and disguises issues) but i would probably only give it a 7/10.

Some may love it, but as i said, i just wanted more Blood Money.

I agree there is some design flaws but I still think the game is amazing.

Don't know why your complaining about the splinter cell execution thing when your not even encouraged to use guns so you shouldn't need to use it unless you don't care about the score system [I do, bugs me seeing red].

There's a place in the strip club with a checkpoint round a corner and there's a guard right in front of you if you restart checkpoint, luckily I activated it dressed as a cop so the guards weren't suspicious of me.

The checkpoints are sometimes put in stupid places, I agree and also in some levels they blend in with the background and are hard to see unless your right up close.

I think the overall visuals in this game are sick and it has a nice visual style to it and the tessellation is done really well such as making 47's face really detailed and various objects in the game.

I've had no problems with crashing, performance or lock ups but I have had the odd stutter now and then but nothing major.
