Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

Is this as average as everyone is making it out to be or actually on par with all the other Hitman games? Not played Bloodmoney in ages but I remember that being a fantastic game.
 
can anyone else not connect to contracts?

it says "sorry servers are not available right now. please try again later".

been like it now for 2,3 hours!
 
How do you do pointing again as I've forgotten already? I'm struggling in the China Town bit of the game and the only way to proceed is to use it to kill multiple people.

I press Ctrl, then Q but I mess it up from there, by the time my Instinct diminishes.

Thats what I mean, you overclocking or something? When I got my new PC my CPU was overclocked but didn't have the right voltage and it was CTD'ing everything I played

Press CTRL + Q then Left click on peoples heads then hit Q again

My rig cost less than half what yours did but it runs 50+fps maxed without tessellation, FXAA at 1080p. :/

At least it's Intel/Nvidia getting ****ed over and not AMD for once.

Finding it good fun but AI can be alittle OTT and other times stupid... They can't see you behind cover under there nose but there see you 30ft away sneaking throw a tiny gap! lol

Still, looks great and really good fun and story-line isn't boring me yet...

Playing it all on ultra with everything on and maxed out, i5 3750k @ 4.5 and a 7970 stock 1050/1500 and its pretty fluid, gets about 40 in the stress test and in-game around 60+ unless theres a lot happening, oh @1080p.

It's overclocked yeh but very safely. Passed all tests and low temps =(
 
Can't really suggest anything cause its a new game.

Try checking the square enix forums or something and you think it would actually work considering its an AMD backed game

Was just double checking cpu temps. put my coolers onto max and it stayed under 40 degrees and game still crashes. So must be a graphics issue.

Yea, normally when a game is backed by a company they have new drivers released just before / on or after the games released, you using the latest ones I take it? see if there is any beta drivers too

Just a heads up that the current AMD beta drivers actually broke my Absolution. So it can always be a trade off.

Just uninstall current ones from control panel and there should be previous drivers listed on the ATI website.

Do you do clean installs of your drivers by the way or just install them over the top of each other?
 
A lot of little things are nagging at me that were in Blood Money that have been removed or could have been put in, they soon add up.

However so far i'm enjoying it I guess
