Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

I keep getting a weird bug where 47 starts walking to the left without any input from me, I thought it must be picking up my joystick or pedals so I disconnected them but still had the issue restarted the game & it was ok but ten minutes later 47 randomly starts to walk in circles, has anyone had this problem?

pretty anoying are this damn checkpoint saves....in the MILL i almost 90% made all progress when i accidentaly triggered bomb and died...not to tell everything over again damn itd.

Well I have stopped playing until they patch this game. What they have is very solid, but the main thing that they need to patch is the checkpoints. Has hot been a major problem to me thus far, however on the orphanage level, I silently and very professionally took out all the guys on the top floor so had free rein to go between the two stairs down to get some good scouting and distraction of guards. Hit the check point and then on restarting the entire upstairs re-appeared like I had never been.

Absolutely dire bug to have missed and it needs matching asap. Anyone know IO have commented on this and whether they will patch?

Can't arsed to play if a save system is this broken; I simply do not have the time in my life to rinse repeat this game for hours on end.

Yeah, this is not a bug, it is a feature. They purposefully designed it this way and even said so on forums - we should not expect to get this changed.

Which is why I only use these checkpoints, when I ghosted the level and do not care about enemies respawning.

Found a pretty major bug!! Definitely needs patching!!

Anyone know where to report it? Reckon IO will care at this late stage??

On the strip club level, it's no problem to get to the room behind the small dance floor with the controls for the disco ball.

No problem to kill Osmond with the disco ball either.

Upon leaving that room it's pretty much 50/50 as to whether the crowd start freaking out or not, shouting things like "It's the bald killer" etc, but the staff and police don't react to you.
Even if the crowd do remain calm for a while, after a minute or two they all freak out and leave.

In the mean time the security start patrols with their guns drawn and there's a guard stationed at the bottom of the stairs making it impossible to move up without taking him out.

It's all a bit messy and seems to need tidying up and consistent AI, but here's where the major bug kicks in.

Once Osmond has been killed with the disco ball, if you then activate the checkpoint outside the door that leads to backstage and then restart checkpoint, Osmond is still dead, you still have a silent assassin rating but the disco ball is back up, everyones still dancing in the small room with the girl and the guards are no longer on alert.

It's a shame. Good level but it needs a lot of tidying up. It's like a beta.

hitman absolution pc

so i have been been playing hitman absolution for some time on pc and looks great.
But the ingame point system seems a bit strange to me there seems to be no way of just knocking someone out NOT killing them and not loasing anypoints so in order to get different costums you need to lose point!!

also there seems to be no way of just silently killing people ie gards and still still u seem to lose points i just dont understand how they have worked out the point system

Example i done 2 levels with no one spotting me and no gun shots only fiber wire kills and still i lose some pints dont make any sense to me

There's a huge thread mate.

A couple of tooltips say about the greatest assassins move through a mission leaving the area untouched. So if you kill/subdue anyone other than your target you will lose points. Makes sense really.

There are usually countless ways to kill your target/get where you need to go plus there are challenges for completing missions without using disguises. It is possible to do.

ye im not a fan of the live point system thing.

makes me feel like im doing it wrong when it deducts points for being a "pacifist "

rather a summary at the end.

You don't lose points if you subdue then hide the body. You lose less points if you kill then hide the body, best of all is to just get your target though.

You also get 188 points for killing with a headshot, and 155 points for hiding said body which recovers the 343 points you lose for murder.

Just be careful about the blood pool it leaves as you'll lose points when it's discovered.

You lose 155 points for subduing but gain 155 points for hiding so no loss

But how do you subdue without killing afterwards? I get the option to subdue by tapping X (this is using an Xbox 360 controller) but once subdued my only option is to 'snap neck', I must be missing how to knock unconscious without killing.:o

Unless it's different on the xbox, I come up behind them, press subdue, then keep tapping it, then the animation finishes and I can then drag them off or whatever.

While I'm tapping subdue it shows me that if I press 'up' it will snap the neck, but I've never pressed that.

Playing on PC but with 360 controller. Thanks I'll try that, I probably haven't been waiting long enough for the subdue animation to finish.
