Hitman Absolution Teaser Trailer

Cheers I got all the way to the bit with the guard on the concrete steps. I didn't think to get that one. I will have another try tomorrow :) I assumed the body would be found.

How the hell did you remember all that, haha. I can barely remember how I did this 4 or 5 years ago :(

You're welcome dude. :)

I last played it a couple of months ago so it's still fairly fresh. I'm playing through it right now as well, just trying to clear up some more of the achievements, I think it's crap that you have to play it through on each difficulty setting though. I'd rather have just done it once on the hardest setting and unlocked all the other cheevos at the same time but ohhhh no. :(

Yeah that's one of the fallbacks with some of the early 360 games, multiplays. I only ever finished it on rookie. Now doing normal. Trying to get SA on 5 levels then I'm going to town with the guns :)

There's an easy way to do all of the guns without having to amass loads of cash. If you just upgrade one gun fully, then start the mission, then quit to the main menu and re-load your mission it should put you back at the briefing screen with all your money again, just upgrade a different gun this time until you have all the guns upgraded. :p

I'm just playing on Expert mode at the moment, I need to get the 5 expert SA's. Some missions are a real bitch to get them on, the White House level still gets on my nerves, and also the level in the swamp where you have to kill the groom and his father.

Bah I just did it, silent all the way. I stole the video tape after it said I was caught on CCTV and ended up with caught on camera in the ratings. WTF. So got professional rating.

That blows. :(

If you run quickly enough and hug the elevator wall as much as you can then you should be able to avoid getting caught on camera, it is tricky though. If you're just trying to get the 5 silent assassins then I'd recommend playing "A New Life" over and over. It takes about 4 minutes, it's the one where you have to kill the guy in the witness protection programme. There's a catering van at the beginning of the level, if you wait till the delivery boy goes into the house, drug the doughnuts with sedative and then pick them up, you can deliver them to a white van on the street which has FBI agents inside, once they're knocked out just steal one of their outfits and leave the van.

Then go to the front of the house, just to the left of the front door where the two FBI guards are, there should be a box for the satellite TV which you can break, just make sure that the delivery boy doesn't witness this, he should be having a cigarette down by his van at this point. But anyway, once that's done you can go in through the front doors, turn left and that will take you into the living room where Vinnie is, and if you've timed it right the FBI agent guarding him should just be leaving to go outside and see what's happened to the TV. At this point you can fiber wire Vinnie, drag him into a closet in the back of the room and then close the door, FBI won't go in that closet so he'll be undiscovered there.

Then make your way to the garden of the house, to the right hand side of the back of the garden there's a shed which the pool boy goes into, then he walks out and cleans the pool, just wait for him to leave the shed, then pick the lock, pick up the lighter fluid and run over to the BBQ. Rig the BBQ, it doesn't matter if anyone witnesses it because it isn't considered a suspicious act, then when Vinnie's wife comes over to use the BBQ it should set her on fire, she'll jump in the pool and die. You can then pick up her microfilm necklace walk back to the FBI van, take your suit and exit the level.

I'm making it sound more complex than it is probably, but it takes about 4 and a half minutes. :p

Think you can, I haven't tried but I think you might be able to, I still need to do 5 on Professional so I'll let you know on here if it works. :)

I never tried sedating the wife in that area, I haven't tried it myself but with all the windows and the amount of activity in that area I would have thought it would be tricky not to get spotted in the act, I might try it next time. :)

Bah tried it again this time hugged the walls like you said and just before I stepped on the boat I checked. 0/100 notriety, hadn't been seen and had done all the objectives. Then when the screen moves on I get professional rating and 10/100 notriety.

One last go later then I will give up on that.

Does it say if you've had any witnesses or anything on the end screen?

Got it this time and learned a save glitch which will come in handy for Pro, When you select save and the saving screen comes up press start. The game saves but doesn't count. When you go back to the save screen it will still say 0/7 saves used.

So you can save as often as you like on pro and expert :D

Sweet. :)

To get the guard outfit I just found a different way. :)

If you get the elevator up, quickly run into the kitchen and hide near the back, Santa is too drunk to care, a guard will walk in and then walk in that little area between the door to the kitchen and the door to the outer area. You can run up and sedate him, steal his clothes, then knock out santa and stuff him in the box. I tried it on Expert and it worked fine, I'll try it on Professional a bit later. Thanks for the saving tip I'll try that too. :D

They've already said they are going to be putting in more action segments with a cover system, just don't ask me for a link since it was something I read quite a while ago.

I want this to be a really good game, but the fact that SE is involved has me worried that they will change things that don't need fixing in order for them to appeal to the morons out there who won't buy it anyway even with all the 'improvements' they make. Just give us another Blood Money with new missions and were sorted.

I've been following this game for years hoping it would be made and some of the comments people make are just completely retarded, like putting in Multi-player

I really hope it doesn't, Blood Money was great.

Yup great game, I've enjoyed all the console releases, I didn't enjoy the original Hitman though, the jungle levels were a bit pants.

Oh good god no, a cover system sounds to me like they will be doing what Margaret says and making it into a Splinter Cell: Conviction type game, I really hope it doesn't turn into some rubbish arcade shooter. All I would want from the new game would be better lip syncing, better scripts for the NPC's, better selection of customisable weapons, better implementation of your hideout in between missions, so for example you go to your hideout after each mission you complete and you can upgrade your guns there, you can alter the colour and style of your suit, maybe multiple choice of missions which then lead to different missions depending on your previous choices. Faction based hits so for example you can choose to work for the Sicilian Mafia or the Triads or Yakuza, doing too many missions for one will annoy the other factions and you won't be able to complete theirs, allowing for multiple playthroughs to make sure you get a chance to play all the missions.

The main thing I think is just to overhaul the control, give the graphics some spit and polish, I haven't seen anything of the Glacier 2 engine but I'll go and look in a second, I've still got high hopes, I just hope with every fibre of my being that they don't make this into some crappy arcadey shooter. I love being able to approach my hit any way I want to, I like being able to plan what I'm going to do based on the information I have about my targets, it makes the game so rewarding when you plan something and then execute it perfectly, they'd ruin all of that if this was just an all guns blazing shooter. :(

It definately works I've been testing it. Damn wedding level, thought I had a SA again but somehow a witness saw me. Not sure if it's when the guy eats the cake.

I hope they leave it as it is. Doesn't even need any MP or co-op. Just a single player game with improved controls and AI sensitivity. It's pretty much spot on.
