Hitman Absolution test GPU

I don't think this game is particularly well optimised I have a 7970 at 1200 core and with everything maxed out ultra and 4x msaa I'm only getting 45-50fps average in game drops to 35fps with 8x msaa. Running 12.11 beta 4 and 12.10 cap 1.

It's nice but don't think it's that impressive looking for the performance I'm getting. Maybe new catalyst can bring improvements.

Can someone help me please.

Now i am getting this error message now!, ever 5-10 mins of playing this game

Link here

I've no got it running on low setting!, I cant understand why i get the msg when i have 2 gtx 580 3gb @ stock :/..

Thanks

non of those tests looking at that were done at ultra mode either unless thats what they meant by high? also my 7970 uses 2213mb graphics memory when maxed and 4xmsaanot the 1500 they were saying. im only using 12.11 beta 4 at the mo though.

Shame they didn't show SLI Vs CF :(

In a way you can work out crossfire/sli scaling by looking at the gtx680/gtx690 and 6970/6990. Although i think 6970cf would be a decent bit faster than a 6990, gtx680 sli is pretty much the same as a gtx690.

At 1200p sli seems to be scaling around 45% when comparing the gtx680 and gtx690. Crossfire is scaling around 67% when comparing 6970/6990.

At 1600p nvidia's sli scaling goes up to 70% and amd's goes up to around 80%.

I know people want to know the amd 7 series cf scaling but thats all you can get from this article.

Yeah..AMD scaling is pretty shocking, at both 3x1080 and single 1080...unless it's just my rig.

No bro, it is others having it also. I have not had much to dance about recently, so I will enjoy this till you get it fixed :D They should be out with a fix pretty soon.

*No hotlinking please*

As you can see from previous bench results, Hitman loves CPU cores :)

This was at 4.6Ghz on a 3930K. I would be interested to see others results.

Edit:

Hitman Absolution on a stock 3930K and results in lower fps.

And Hitman Absolution at 5.0Ghz. No improvement over 4.6Ghz and seems 4.6Ghz is the sweet spot.

Just installed catalyst 12.11 beta 8 and 12.11 caps 1 and there is a huge improvement compared to 12.11 beta 4 and 12.10 caps 1. I'm now averaging 60fps with all ultra and 4x msaa and fxaa on. This is with 7970 at 1200 core and 1400 memory. Think will be running more but I have Vsync on.

There are scenes in the game where the 2GBvRAM barrier is broken with 8xAA and 1680x1050.

Oh boy it's gorgeous looking game, reminds me of The God Samaritan and other DX11 goodies.

Ingame Steroscopic 3D with CrossFire(AF:trilinear) is very poor though:

Just tried it on Tridef using P3D with the MOH Warfighter profile:

Result:D, much improved, maybe Tridef can get some better performance too with a proper profile.

whats the warfighter profile called in CCC, wanna give it a go, the crossfire scaling on my 7950s with eyefinity is terrible, really want to play this game but getting annoyed and don't wanna play it all choppy. Will just ruin experience.

^
My post was in regards to playing in 3D with Tridef instead of the ingame 3D option, it has nothing to do with changing the CrossFire profile within CCC.

:)
