As said they are just basically more of the same thing. Not that thats bad though cause they are amazing games. EP2 is better than EP1 imo, but HL2 itself outshines them both. Mainly due to their length, but thats expected of course.

More of the same in terms of puzzles and linear progression, but some of the achievements are challenging and the story is excellent. Absoultely worth the price, however. I've spent far more money on vastly inferior games before.

Yeah the relative monotony of the boat part threw me.

But now that I'm past that, the scenarios are sucking me in again and making me curious about what's next. I'm liking it :cool:

Personally I found there to be less puzzles in Ep1 and Ep2 than the original HL2, but as I hadn't played HL2 in ages I was a bit "out of the zone" so resorted to a walkthrough a couple of times, when I got bored of trying to think / search around.

Good games though, I just dont find a great deal of replay value in them.... possibly just too scripted (either that or i've killed too many combine now!)
