Hmm dpd experience

DPD are excellent down here in West Sussex too. Never had an issue, always get things on time, the delivery window notifications are great, and they collect on time as well. :)

I remember once I ordered something at about 8PM on a Friday from OcUK, and DPD turned up with it on Saturday!

My local driver always delivers in the first 5 minutes of the allotted hour. I'm not sure if this is because he has an easy life or is running round like a madman just to keep up. Either way, it's good for me. :p

They're generally good delivery wise but any time I've encountered a DPD driver on the roads in West London they're driving like a maniac... running red lights, speeding down residential streets, and parking on red routes and cycle lanes.

I remember years ago DPD were terrible, at least around my area they were!

but for the last few years they've been excellent, its good being able to specify to put a parcel in a safe place or choose a new day etc. If I get a shipped confirmation from the likes of Yodel I always fear the worst, seeing DPD as an option I always feel a bit better about ordering. :)

it's weird how DPD seem to have succeeded so well in a market packed with terrible companies such as Yodel.

Every experience I've had with DPD, including sending parcels abroad has been excellent - their 1 hour time frame notification is just a complete godsend and makes them my default for sending or receiving parcels.. I hope their current service stays as it is, because they're lightyears ahead.

+1

Never had an issue with the service in the years they have been delivering to me.

PS. Loving the OPs Depot experience

Reading the thread title I thought this was going to be an unhappy experience post and I was going to say I've had nothing but great service from them....

Turns out they're still great, best delivery company by far for me.

My company has been through all the couriers and DPD is by far the best both from what i have seen on the consumer side and from the seller side. Although i dont deal with any of the selling/packing or sending, i see the complaints (lack of) and also the odd call complimenting the service. Our DPD account manager is very helpful and is pretty much contactable at all times, offering to get to us in person within the hour if we cannot solve an issue over the phone.

They stay successful by holding their minimum standard of service above the industry standard (which is crap). Now all we need is a telecom provider to do the same...

DPD in my area still deliver to the wrong street and think they have delivered to the correct address because they have photographic proof of the parcel inside a green wheelie bin.

My DPD driver is very good, but I'm not a fan of collecting from their depot. You call for assistance from a telephone on reception, someone eventually answers, eventually comes through and takes a pile of cards from the crowd that has amassed whilst you've been waiting, and eventually returns with your parcel.

In all honesty I can't think of one courier I've collected from that has a genuinely decent set up, and that includes the one I work for.
