Old photo, but I do own one :). I do need to update it. And its there because the sling loop on the M4 is underneath the barrel and can't be used with a 3 point sling.

Thats my SA80.
Where does the middle point go with a 3 point sling? Also: can I have that SA80 please? I are poor :o My M4A1 cost me a whole £33 although I don't know anywhere around here that could tax it's 20-odd metre range.

It doesn't attach to the gun. If you look at the photo you can see a clip in from the left, thats the other point. It means theres a loop in the sling so its held more securely than a standard 2 point one. When the clip is together its held tight against your body horizontally, when you need to shoot you release the clip and you can shoulder it easily yet still keep the weapon safe. The M4 doesn't look like that anymore either, I gave it a spray job and added a few bits - www.shotgun-ned.34sp.com/respray.jpg.

I dabble in scale model making - not the most physically active of past-times but keeps me busy on a rainy day. I'd like to have a crack at a competition one day, but for now I'll just build for myself.

A couple of examples of my work

and my current build - an old Matchbox 1/72 Handley Page Victor K.2, should be finished in a few weeks.
