Holiday 2011

Into cycling? Plenty of routes around the NF for that.

is there a lot of information about the routes in the area? I don't wanna get lost :D. I presume there are lots of bike hire places!

What is there in the way of eating out and seeing wildlife? (not necessarily at the same time!)

Nowhere planned :(.
Trying to convince my Dad to have a week long stag do touring around the South of France. We shall see...

Anyone want to take me away? :D

Just back from 2 weeks in Barbados, got another 2 weeks in Portugal end of July and 10 days golfing with the lads in Murcia end of September. I like holidays. :D

And no offence, but that looks awful. My worst nightmare anyway :p

Are you kidding, that place looks absolutely amazing!!

For a resort holiday I think that looks pretty darn good..

For me though I'm having to scrimp and save till August this year :(... but then I'm doing a 2 month trip starting in Malta to do some scuba diving, then heading up through Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and finishing in Germany with Oktoberfest!! :D.

August needs to come more quickly.

Been to the south coast a few weekends already (last weekend was good even if i bottled speaking to a legend!).

Nothing planned for summer, friend runs a major holiday resort in the south west, so might try and grab a cheeky deal or just do a few weekends somewhere around the country.
Rhodes in october. That reminds me, need to get my little girls passport sorted.

I don't get the idea of a resort holiday.

Is it the case of the service, big bed and swimming pool?

Won't that be cheaper to get somewhere the same in this country? Seeing a lot of brits who do that never step off the front porch of the resort anyway, so why pay all that airfare to see in a puddle of water that could be anywhere?

Granted, if its a real beach then it's different, but then still......may be it's just me that i want to actually see new things on a trip, not sleeping in the sun.

Going to Vegas in 4 weeks then driving around some of the National Parks in Utah/Arizona (Zion, Bryce Canyon, GC etc.)

A bit of both is nice and it's actually mostly cheaper to get two weeks abroad than it would be getting two weeks in the same 5 star hotel here.

For me, a holiday is about relaxation, clearing your head and getting away from the daily life. Going to an overcrowded, fast moving city is my idea of hell at the best of times, never mind a holiday. :)

I dont disagree with you at all :)

But for me the perfect holiday is perfect weather, beautiful beach, lovely free food and drink - and relaxing...and no - we never leave the resort :D

Nowhere booked yet but will either go to Gibraltar and South Spain or over to Vienna for a few days in June. As to where I might go next November that is still to be decided. I love mulling over different places to go and that so I tend to book quite late on.

Yeh I figured you would be leaning that way, thats why I put for a resort holiday at the end :D. For me I like resort holls with Fam if I go on holls with them, we always end up doing day trips to see other things and activities etc. Personally I prefer to do the backpacker on a shoestring budget stretching it as much as possible and seeing as much as possible on my own though :p.

Korcula Island, croatia for 3 and a half months. Not quite a holdiay is im working as a dive instructor though

<<< jealous of you.

I'm going for my advanced scuba licence when I head to Malta :), but I really wish I had pulled my socks up earlier and done some more dives (and logged all of my other ones properly :p)
