Has anyone bought from petertyson online before?

Put an order in yesterday evening and no email or anything yet. Meant to be next day delivery aswell

I've bought from them a couple of times and their customer service is excellent. Drop them an e-mail or call them. :)

Thanks for the replies

Any cabling tips? Im gonna run about 6m x 2 of cable under carpet to back of room for surround speakers but unsure how to fix up wall

Trunking, the same colour as the wall. Or use P nail clips, then paint the cable same colour as the wall. Or poshest would cut a channel in the plaster, fit trunking run cable down into external speaker connectors, then run cable from wall to front. Or run cables from speaker connectors to amp under floorboard

trunking seems like a good option (maybe adhesive?), ill just find some to match wall colour

You can use the optical out on the TV to link back to the Receiver for anything that you're watching directly on the TV (I find it less hassle than ARC).

 So you'd add an extra unneeded cable and one that breaks any possible CEC relationship between devices and you call it less hassle............... I am genuinely confused, ARC for all it's bandwidth issues has been a godsend for modern AV.

It took me about 30 minutes lol to wire up 1 speaker (never done it before)
Tested it and this 1 speaker sounds better than my old sony all in one.

Will this work correctly?
HDMI IN (Arc) > AV to TV

Then rest of devices by HDMI out
PS4, nvidia shield, sky TV

Hoping i get HD passthrough this way

Can anyone give me any tips for fixing these to wall? Speakers have like a threaded connector so i need something like this i think...

https://www.amazon.com/Panavise-105108B-Speaker-Mount-Black/dp/B0002BF4J4

Any suggestions?

I still can't believe they're selling that bundle for that price, must not be a miss price. Really great offer that.

Looks like you just need a 1/4" UNC thread - so probably lots of options like the ones below;

Thanks, gonna get a couple of these
AV reciever was pretty straightforward to set up
Still need to test whether nvidia shield n PS4 passthrough the HD audio through hdmi.

I have an optical audio cable though unused, not sure if ill need it.

After you run the YPAO, change the crossover size yourself, as AVR's get this wrong. Your speakers are small, and you'd want the crossover quite high. Probably 100-120hz or so (would need to read your speaker specs)

All is good now
Downloaded movies with DTS-HD / DTS:X and they play perfect from nvidia shield

I know these are better with 7.1 and will probably add the rear surrounds in the future.

Sky HD, i use surround decode as a lot of channels are 2.0 so it outputs to all speakers

Does anyone know how to do this on yamaha av's
Ive looked through settings and cant find anything

How do the MA Mass compare to the 3005se or quad lites?

They appear roughly the same size? So they will have similarish frequency response. As to which is best, sound/build, who knows you'll need to go and demo them yourself. What one person may like you may not.

Being these are budget speakers, and most likely pairing up with a budget AVR, make sure the speakers are easy to drive, and have high impedence.
For example 91dB & 8 Ohm means it's a good speaker with budget AVR's.

83dB and 4 Ohm mean you need a good amp, with a fair bit of power, and decent power supply in the amp.
