Home Cinema bods, what subs are you using?

Im using a Velodyne SPL 1000mkII at the moment, goes flat to 20hz but I cant help looking out for a DD-12 at the right price-just not sure how im going to pay for it!

Let me know if you find a DD, the SPL-1000 is the kind of speaker I am looking for.

One of the first things that I'll invest in once I have a proper house is a sub. I think I'd annoy the neighbours too much, and I play movies and music loud enough as it is!

Option B.
Dump the sub and spend the money you planned to use on an even better front end, meaning that you'll get great sounding bass, as against just lots of well controlled mush.

It is probably worth noting the dates at the bottom of these posts!

15th Feb --> 1st June is quite a resurrection. In the intervening period Mr Black has purchased and installed an uprated subwoofer - indeed a thread was posted on here at the time!

Indeed I have :)

When i can be bothered to finish decorating the living room i will bring this back out of the loft.Very nice sub but does take-up a little more space than i'd like.

I use a Mission m5AS paired with some wharfedale pi40's.

It's a 350watt, 52 litre enclosure with a 12in driver!

Works a treat and only cost me £260 brand new!
